We finished our rhetoric review in today's class.
Homework: Students need to study their Words of the Day in preparation for the Word of the Day quiz on Friday. Students also need to finish annotating and analyzing the V for Vendetta speech that they began in class today.
Pre-AP English 9
Students finished their research presentations in class today. We also began discussing the Maycomb economy and the titular characterization in TKAM.
Homework: Students need to finish reading To Kill a Mockingbird. They also need to study for the TKAM unit test, which cover Words of the Day, parts of speech, the background of the novel (given in the research presentations),and the entirety of the novel itself.
Advanced English 9
Students finished the biography of Harper Lee in today's class. We then discussed characterization in To Kill a Mockingbird, as well as highlighting many of the major events that occur in the novel.
