AP Language and Composition
We had a current-events debate in class today regarding the ethics of bilingual education and the lack of an official language in America.
Homework: Students need to study for their Word of the Day quiz, which will be given tomorrow (Wednesday, September 10). They also need to read chapters 1-8 in Unbroken.
Pre-AP English 9
We finished talking about sentence structure and syntax in class today before starting to discuss some of the more poignant moments of To Kill a Mockingbird.
Homework: Students need to study for their Word of the Day quiz, which
will be given tomorrow (Wednesday, September 10). They also need to
read chapters 11-21 in To Kill a Mockingbird for the test that will be given on Thursday, September 11. The test will cover parts of speech and the action of these chapters in TKAM.
Bible as Literature
Students continued their comparison of the Biblical account of the Deluge with more modern renditions of the Deluge story.
