Students analyzed a speech from the television series The Newsroom in class today. They need to finish their analysis and thesis statement tonight.
Homework: Students need to read chapters 1-8 in Unbroken by Wednesday, September 24. They also need to study for their word of the day quiz, which will be given on Wednesday, September 10.

We held a current events debate in class today about the importance, or non-importance, of online privacy and its relationship to the First Amendment's guarantee of free speech.

Bible as Literature
In today's class, we began a comparison between the Biblical account of the Deluge and more modern accounts of the story.
