AP Language and Composition
Students debated the effects of technology on child development in class today.  They also debated the reality of the post hoc argument that violent video games and movies have caused a rise in violent crimes in our society.

Homework:  Students need to read chapters 9-17 in Unbroken by October 22.

Pre-AP English 9
After taking time to finish and revise their To Kill a Mockingbird essays, students debated American domestic policy in regards to American borders.

Homework:  Students need to obtain their copy of The Odyssey by October 15.  They should buy the Dover Thrift edition of the poem, which can be purchased at this website: http://store.doverpublications.com/0486406547.html

Bible as Literature
Students read about the death of Abraham, the marriage of Isaac, and the deceit of Jacob in today's class.

Homework:  Students should begin studying for their next test, which will be given on Friday, October 3.
