AP Language and Composition
Because the college football season begins tomorrow (the SEC at least), we spent time in class today listening to and rhetorically analyzing famous locker-room speeches.

Homework:  Students need to obtain their copy of Unbroken by September 2.

Pre-AP English 9
Students continued presenting their research in class today.

Homework:  Students need to finish reading chapters 1-10 in To Kill a Mockingbird.  They also need to look over their notes from their classmates' presentations.  They will have a test on both of these on Friday, August 29.

Bible as Literature
We focused on the story of Noah in today's class, and began a discussion of deluge myths from around the world.
