AP Language and Composition
Students took their word of the day quiz today before practicing using the rhetorical devices that we have been studying.
Homework: Students need to obtain their copy of Lauren Hillebrand's Unbroken. We will begin reading this on Tuesday, September 2.
Pre-AP English 9
Students continued their research in the library today.
Homework: Students need to be reading chapters 1-10 in To Kill a Mockingbird. We will have a reading quiz on Friday, August 29. They also need to work on their research presentation, which will begin on Tuesday, August 26. Finally, all the guys in the class need to bring a necktie with them on Monday.
Bible as Literature
Students took a test on the class introductory material and opening chapters of the Bible.
