AP Language and Composition
We finished discussing rhetorical strategies and rhetorical appeal in class today, and we began practicing identification of these strategies in actual writing.
Homework: Students need to study for their WOD quiz, which will be given tomorrow. They also need to obtain their copy of Unbroken, which we will begin reading on Tuesday, September 2.

Students continued their research in the library today.
Homework: Students need to study for their WOD quiz, which will be given tomorrow. They also need to be reading chapters 1-10 in To Kill a Mockingbird, which will be due on Thursday, August 28.
Reading the Bible as Literature
In class today, we read a passage from John Milton's Paradise Lost. We then did a quick review activity for tomorrow's test.
Homework:
Students need to study for the test that will be administered tomorrow. The test will cover words of the day, the PowerPoints we have gone over in class, and the action and notes from Genesis 1-3.
