  1. The name of the new news organization is Rossiya Segodnya (Russia Today). The new headquarter were to RIA Novost. The first amendment lets American have freedom of speech. The government shouldn't control the new because they could restrict certain information that American citizens should have a right to know. American citizens could feel like they're being overthrown by the government and could cause a crisis. The government workers could be harmed by people against them.

    3. The First Amendment
    4. a.It would allow them to pick and choose what stories they wanted to present, and could leave out stories that did not put the government in a positive light.
b.They could control what people know about the rest of the world, and maybe feed them false information about "the outside"
c.It would be incredibly easy for them to quickly spread lies, most people consider the news to be a fairly reputable source and would believe what it tells them.

The name of the news agency that Vladimir Putin has created to boost Moscow’s image is called Rossiya Segodnya. This news agency is supposed to “be built from the ashes of the RIA Novosti. The first amendment gives Americans freedom of speech, but Russia does not have this, hence the tightening of Putin’s control of their news. Three reasons as to how the tightening of control of press could be harmful are: citizens might rebel and want their freedom. The more rules, the more likely people are to resist. Second, people cannot effectively express themselves. Lastly, it could reduce the people’s support of Putin, and this could eventually lead to an uprising, which is never good and usually just results in the deaths of many people.

  5. The name of the new news organization is Rossiya Segodnya (Russia Today). The new headquarters for Russia Today will be "built from the ashes of RIA Novosti. The First Amendment grants U.S. citizens the "freedom of speech". The main reasons i think it would be bad for our govt. to control the news is 1. It anger a lot of people. 2. There would probably be riots in the streets & 3. The end result would be utter anarchy. ~Blake E. Lockridge

Putin is creating a new news organization called Rossiya Segodnya, it is to be built in the ashes of RIA Novosti. America's freedom of speech is protected by amendment one. If the government has control of news media outlets it could be dangerous because the government would most likely only broadcast good things going on in the government, also it would strip away freedom from citizens, and make the government look too powerful.

The First Constitutional Amendment guarantees Americans the right to free speech. Three reasons why it would be dangerous to have the government control the news media outlets are; the government can tell you lies, make you believe something that is not true, and keep you away from knowing what is going on in the rest of the world.

  11. 1. The Rossyia Segodnya. 2. Moscow. 3. The first. 4. For one, the government could lie about anything, two they could keep anything they wanted to from us, and finally if they control the media they control the country because without the media we would be clueless about anything going on in the country; or in the world.

  16. The name of the new news organization that Putin is creating is Rossiya Segodnya. The new headquarters of the new state-run news organization will be in Moscow. The Constitutional Amendment that guarantees Americans the right to free speech is the first amendment. It would be dangerous to have the government control the news media outlets because if the government shut down or something happened then the news wouldn't be able to get out. Another reason is because if the government has something they could say it however and whenever they wanted to.

A lot of propaganda and things could be going totally wrong and they act like its doing good. The government can control your life basically by controlling what you watch therefore someone may be doing something great but you never see it because the government doesn't want you to see it.

Putin is creating an organization called Rossiya Segodnya. Also, this will be made in RIA's Novosti's headquarters that is in central Moscow. Next, the first amendment gives us the right of free speech. Fourth, the news would be dangerous for the government to control because they could say things that would definitely upset the people. Second, they might not tell the public the whole story. Lastly, the government might cause riots since they are against the beliefs so many others.

  19. The name of the new news organization that Putin is creating is called. The new organization will be run on the ashes of the old news station. The constitutional amendment that allows Americans the right to free speech is the 1st. The government should not be allowed to control the media because they could give out false information. Another reason this should not be done is the government can report wrong information they can also keep the people from other world news.

The first amendment guarantees the Americans the right for free speech. If the government controlled the news it would be dangerous because we wouldn't be able to talk bad about the government, we could say what we wanted to, and we could be put in prison because of what someone said.

  21. Putin is trying to dissolve the old state news agency and replace it with one know as Rossiya Segodnya, which will be located in Moscow. This will strengthen Putin's grasp on the news and media Russian citizens receive. In the U.S we have the first Admendment which give us the right to frre speech. The new system implemented it risky because if the government has total control over news and media, it can lead to spread of propaganda, important news not being heard, and even brainwashing (not in the sci-fi way).
