We reviewed predicate adjectives and nominatives in today's class, before finishing the documentary Waiting for Superman. We also discussed favorable study habits for the final exam, as students received their study guides for the final exam. (A copy of the final exam study guide can be downloaded by clicking here.)
Homework: Students need to review chapters 9-12 in Lord of the Flies in preparation for their test on Monday. The test will also cover and contain Words of the Day (23), irregular verb conjugation, quote identifications, and extended responses.
Also, students will be reading several short stories before the semester is over. If they would like to go ahead and get a head start on these stories, they can. The stories are, "The Most Dangerous Game" (page 24 in the textbook), "The Cask of Amontillado" (page 57 in the textbook), "The Lottery" (handout), and "The Ransom of Red Chief" (handout).
AHSGE Reading Review
After finishing our poetry unit today, we also finished our education discussion and finished watching Waiting for Superman.
