AP Language and Composition
We began reviewing comma usage today as a part of an ACT review. Additionally, we began analyzing MLK, Jr.'s "Letter from a Birmingham Jail."

Homework:  Students need to finish the assigned reading in Devil in the White City by Friday, January 22.

Pre-AP English 9
After continuing our lesson on commas, students had the opportunity to edit and revise their essays from last week.  Afterwards, we continued our study of Shakespeare and the English Language.

Homework:  Students should finish revising and re-writing their poetry analyses tonight and bring them to class tomorrow.  They should also begin memorizing the first twelve lines of the Canterbury Tales prologue in Middle English.  They will recite it on Monday, January 25.
