It began after WWII as a common defense against the expansion of the Soviet Union. The treaty was also designed to encourage political, economic and social cooperation. NATO has such a high interest in the Ukraine because Ukraine occupies a vital strategic position between Europe and Russia. The G8 is the Group of Eight, the world's leading industrialized nations who meet annually to discuss global issues. The US is using it as a threat against Russia by threatening to remove Russia from the G8. A ruble is the Russian monetary unit.

NATO is the Northern Atlantic Treaty Organization, that's purpose is to enforce safety and freedom. Russia has high interest in Crimea, seeing as though it has a past together. The US is using this as a way for leverage. A ruble is the basic unit of currency in Russia. Vitali Klitschko is a former boxer- turned to president. 6. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization or NATO advised Russia that they should "stop military activities and threats" against Ukraine. Russia has such a high interest on Crimea(The city they "liberated") because it is home to the Russian Black Sea fleet. NATO is so interested in the Ukraine because it is housed in-between the borders of Russia and Europe, Russian control of Ukraine would "Threaten peace and security in Europe". The G8 is a club of Nations of developed economies. Countries in the G8 include the United States of America, Britain, and Canada. Russia is also a member f this G8 club, however NATO has threatened to remove Russia from the G8 because of their actions in Ukraine. Vitali Klitschko is a former boxing world champion who is know a presidential candidate, sais "Ukraine is united and doesn't need influence from any other country." The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is an alliance based on the North Atlantic Treaty. They want peace. Russia wants Crimea because of its historical ties, and because it is home of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. NATO wants the Ukraine because it has a strategic position between Europe and Russia.
The G8 is a club of developed economies, and if Russia doesn’t stop, they may be expelled from this organization. Ruble is Russian currency. Vitali Klitschko used to be a boxing world champion, and is now a presidential candidate I don’t think they have a right to do this. They should at least attempt to do it peacefully, with no violence and no bloodshed.
