Pre-AP English 9
We had a guest speaker in second block today. Amber Barnes, Hillcrest's AP Language instructor, spoke to the students about both the rigor and the advantages of an AP course track. In fourth block, we continued our survey of poetry. (For a copy of the poetry PowerPoint, please refer to Monday's blog post.)
Homework: Students need to read chapters 5-9 of A Separate Peace by Tuesday, December 4th.
Also, students who are completing the extra credit assignment given with To Kill a Mockingbird must have the assignment completed by Monday, December 3rd. For a copy of the assignment, please refer to yesterday's blog post.
