Pre-AP
Today we took the first test on Romeo and Juliet. The test also covered Secret Life of Bees, the grammar we have studied in class, and the Words of the Day. After the test, we continued to delve into Romeo and Juliet, finishing our discussion of Act I and starting Act II.
Homework: Students should begin reading Act II of Romeo and Juliet. Each student also needs to order or buy a copy of Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes.
AHSGE Reading Review
Today, we continued our discussion of propaganda. We watched several cartoons from the WWII-era Warner Bros collection, and saw that even then propaganda was used to try and influence our thinking about the war. We also began discussing logical fallacies.
