Thursday, April 25th

Happy sixth birthday to my daughter!!

Pre-AP English 9
In today's class, we focused on the individualization of much post-modern literature by studying through a social psychology experiment conducted by Stanley Milgram.  In the experiment, Milgram tried to answer the question of internal motivation and what causes people to make the choices that they make. This plays perfectly into A Separate Peace, which also attempts to answer the questions, "What is evil, and where does it originate?"

Homework:  Students need to read through chapter 8 in A Separate Peace by Monday, April 29th.

English 10
In today's class, we continued discussing the life of Shakespeare and what England was like in Shakespeare's day.

ASHGE Reading Review.
In today's class, we read through excerpts of Romeo and Juliet in preparation for a comparative analysis that we will finish tomorrow.
