AP Language and Composition
Students received their graded multiple-choice practice in today's class and spent time analyzing the questions for the correct answers.
Homework: Students, if they choose to do them, should finish their reading comprehension reflections. They are due on Friday.
Pre-AP English 9
Students received several grades back today, including their To Kill a Mockingbird unit test (both parts). We spent time in class reviewing the correct answers on the test, and we used it as a time to remediate the parts of speech.
Homework: Students need to study their Words of the Day. They also need to obtain their copies of A Separate Peace and Of Mice and Men by September 30th.
Advanced English 9
Students received several grades back today, including their To Kill a Mockingbird unit test (both parts). We spent time in class reviewing the correct answers on the test, and we used it as a time to remediate the parts of speech. We also used time in class to cover student writing patterns that need to be corrected. Students will have the opportunity to re-write their essays to earn up to half of their credit back on the essay.
Homework: Students need to study their Words of the Day. They also need to obtain their copies of A Separate Peace and Dirt Road Home by September 30th. Also, students who are choosing to edit their essays should finish them and turn them in by Friday.
