Summary: Hillary Clinton officially announced this past Sunday that she is indeed running for president in 2016. This came as a shock to about, no one, unless you live under a rock, Clinton has been unofficially hinting at it since 2013. She said she was going to be a champion to the middle-class Americans if she was the first female to become president. Clinton doesn't want people if she's in office to just get by, she wants them to get ahead and stay ahead. She has been recorded as one of the most enduring politicians in American Politics. Clinton will most likely be running democratically, considering 81% democrats said they would vote for her if she does run. Clinton will be making her first official trip to Iowa, the first place she was pushed to third after Obama and Edwards. Voters have soon declined Clinton in a harsh manor because of her departure from the State Department. Many people don't think Clinton has what it takes to be president, but a lot of them have been from fellow Senators and people from other branches that Clinton knows. Many voters just say things like "She's a woman, how can we trust her to be our president?" But Hillary's supporters said, "How can we trust a man to lead us?" All in all, I believe Hillary could have a shot this year of becoming president.

In this article it explains the case of Jodi Arias who was convicted on Monday 4/13/15 of the murder of her ex boyfriend Travis Alexander. Arias was with Alexander on and off for many years and denied any involvement at first but was tried many weeks later and convicted. Arias says that she is "disgusted" with herself and wishes she" could take it all back." Arias wished for the death penalty but got life in prison without parole.

    2) Hillary Clinton confirmed rumors of her wish to run for president by confirming her involvement in the election via video footage trending along various media sites. She used patriotic diction and led to a pathos appeal by discussing the need of a hero for this country, and by also discussing various sensitive info such as gay rights, equality, etc. There have been multiple videos and news articles written about this spectacle; one of which is attached above via hyperlink, and one I've seen has circulated Facebook where she specifically discusses lgbt rights, education, equality, and other debated matters. The above article discusses her candidacy for president, and also multiple arguments and opinions towards Clinton.

This article was about a student forced to go home because of a dress code "violation". Which is common, we see this everyday at Hillcrest, but this case was different. The students older sister who previously attended the school took to media, venting on the situation, and her post became viral. The 21 year old sister lashed out not at the school's rules but at society for making girls have to conform to the minds of "hormonal" teenagers. The sister argued that girls should not be taught to cover their "God given bodies" but that boys should be taught to focus. The student had to leave school, go home, and change clothes. The sister said that her having to leave school took away from her education, and left us with the question of is what we wear that important? We supposedly come to school to learn in the first place, so why are females around the country being punished for being comfortable? Boys get to walk around in muscle-hugging dry fit shirts, but girls can't wear leggings? Why the double standard? Why are we as girls being taught that we must conform to the minds of men? Why can't boys/men be taught to be less sexual?

    http://www.cnn.com/2015/04/15/politics/hillary-clinton-same-sex-marriage/index.html

This article is based on Hillary Clinton and her opinion on same sex marriage. Clinton is running for a political position in the upcoming running. At first, Clinton was not in favor of same sex marriage and she made it clear in the earlier years when she was running. Now, she is running for a political position again and her opinion has changed. A good handful of people have questioned her asking if she's doing it just to get more people on her side and get more attention, but she adamantly insists that her opinion has changed on its own and that none of this is for extra publicity. Some people still question her about her sudden change of heart, but we'll really never know the full, honest reasoning behind why she was against same sex marriage and why all of the sudden, right in the middle of her campaign, she had a change of heart and now supports it.

    http://hubpages.com/hub/4-Reasons-Why-Your-Vote-for-US-President-Doesnt-Matter

This article outlines how your vote for president doesn't matter, due to they way the process is set up. According to the article, your vote may be changed without you knowing. The author then says that, whether your vote is changed or not, it doesn't matter because of the Electoral College. The Electoral College, which the article explains, will choose the president regardless of who you vote for and who wins the popular vote. The system is rigged, and not in your favor.

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2015/04/16/education-bill-bipartisan-senate/25716235/
A bipartisan bill replaced the no child left behind law and also lessened the governments involvement in the school systems. The bill is said to fix the no child left behind law in which was signed by George W. Bush in the year 2002 the law expired in 2007 but states were still required to abide by its rules until a new law replaced it. The act still requires 3rd-8th grade students to take standardized tests in math and reading and a total of 3 science tests in grades 3-12. The federal government can no longer "punish" failing schools due to the grades on the standardized test scores.

My article is about Hillary Clinton and how she and her team are preparing for the upcoming election. It explains how Clinton is stepping out of her comfort zone for this election and notes how much attention has been on her for this in the past week. With the help of the president's campaign leaders Clinton is hoping to convey her thoughts and surprise voters with her new outlook. Clinton and team hopes to make this campaign less about her and more about voters.

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/04/16/house-passes-bill-to-repeal-death-tax/

The House of Representatives has voted to repeal the "death tax", which is the tax to keep people from passing family businesses onto their heirs. Democrats announce that the only people that would benefit from the revoking of the tax would be the rich because they are the only one that pay it and have many millions of dollars invested in other assets. Some people get hit with the tax because they have a valuable asset, such as a family farm that sits on valuable land, but does not generate enough money to pay the large tax, so the heirs will have to sell some or all of the land to pay it.

    http://www.cnn.com/2015/04/15/opinions/cupp-hillary-clinton-candidacy/

My article was about the candidacy of Hillary Clinton to the 2016 Presidential Election. The article really focuses on how Hillary will get the mens vote in her campaign if she's focusing it on women. It goes on to mention her campaign video and how out of the 38 people in the video 20 are women and motherhood is mentioned 3 times. The article also gives many examples on other Democratic women who have focused campaigns on sexism, and other things revolving around women and, how their campaign ultimately did not do very well at all. Then the article goes on to include the topic of the Democrats saying that Republicans have the "war on women." When actually Democrats have the war on men because more men vote Republican and more women vote Democratic. In all it says that Hillary will definitely have the women's vote she just needs to find a way to get the men too.

This article is all about Hillary Clinton. More specifically, its about how she lied to everyone.
As most of us know, she has lied quite a bit in her past, and she hasnt given up yet. This time she lied about her grandparents being immigrants. Recently, Clinton was at a conference in Iowa and told the citizens that she knows how hard immigrants lives are since her grandparents were immigrants. But, it turns out that all her grandparents arent even immigrants. It only proved that she may only have one immigrant grandparent. I am still very unsure as to why she would lie about something as frivolous as that. Because she clearly knew that records could prove her of her wrongdoing. If she lies about something as trivial as this, I wonder what kind of president she would make.

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/sen-marco-rubio-rsvp-gay-wedding-article-1.2187866

This article focuses around a choice of Marco Rubio that was decided based on his personal belief instead of his political one. He stated that if he were hypothetically invited to a gay wedding, he would, in fact, attend the event. He has made headlines because this choice contradicts his political beliefs of a conservative. He clarified that if it were a family member or close friend, then you should support and respect them if they chose a "different path." He wouldn't want to hurt them even if he disagrees with the choice they've made. Despite this statement, others like Hugh Hewitt and Jake Tapper have disagreed with his standpoint.

  13. Carter Billings 3rd http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/17/us/politics/another-clinton-now-vows-to-fix-political-finance-system.html?_r=0

Hillary Clinton has announced that she will be running for president in 2016. She says one of her main policy's is one her husband had, but never completed. This is to fix the political system, and to get unaccountable money out of the way. She even claims that she have a constitutional amendment proposed if that is what it takes. This stance is seen by some, however, to be contradictory to what she is doing. Her campaign funds and other funds are seen to be going against what she is pushing. So this problem may not be addressed because of this evidence and the past behaviors of presidents.

"When veterans return, their children also deal with invisible wounds of war"

Traumatic injuries and disorders effect 30 percent of the 2.7 million former troops then leaving their families to help them with it when they come back. Children of these soldiers usually take great precautions in their actions in fear of setting off the parent(s), also often taking on a parental role. They usually tend to be more compassionate, empathetic, but also can become easily frustrated. There are several stories told in this article but it mainly focuses in on one family, the Hughes family. Koen Hughes has taken on the parental role although he has autism he still understands and helps his dad.

    http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/article/Texas-CEO-says-women-shouldn-t-be-president-6203795.php

The article linked about is about Cheryl Rios, a CEO of a marketing firm in Texas, believes that women are incapable of being presidents because of their hormones. This is extremely ironic, seeing as she's PERFECTLY capable of being a CEO of a company. She stated that if a women became the president she would move to Canada, Canadians have taken to twitter sharing that they wouldn't want her either.Rios claims that a women with all of raging hormones shouldn't be able to start wars, when the only wars the U.S. have been in were started by men. After her ignorance went viral, Rios claimed that ALSO her religion stated that women couldn't run a country. This opinion should be invalid, seeing as church and state should be separated. A female president would definitely be a step in the right direction for women equality. Maybe then we'd finally get equal pay.

    http://www.nytimes.com/politics/first-draft/2015/04/15/shifting-position-clinton-says-gay-marriage-should-be-a-constitutional-right/

This New York Times article tells of Hillary Clinton's shift on the idea of constitutional same sex marriage. The article tells that she recently said that she hopes that congress will make same-sex marriage a constitutional right. this is in contrast to her former statement to NPR last year. Then she said that she believed it should be decided on a state by state basis. Supporters were concerned as to if her views had changed since 1990 and the signing of the defense of marriage act by her husband. Her recent statement shows a strong shift from her views back then and even last year.

Doug Hughes from Florida flew his gyrocopter through restrcted airspace. He landed it on the Capitol lawn and was arrested. Defense systems did not detect the copter and no one tried to stop him until after he landed. His reason behind this was to bring attention to political spending for campaigns. Hillary Clinton and others are discussing campaign reform.

I’m laughing because now that Ted Cruz is running for president, his wife (whose health insurance he was covered under) decided to take a leave of absence to help him campaign, causing them both to lose their health insurance. Now they’re forced to sign up for coverage under the Affordable Care Act or become uninsured. So since Ted Cruz decided to campaign to repeal Obamacare, he can now only get insurance through Obamacare.

And that is a true example of irony.

This article is about the debate on to support abortion or to be anti abortion. The bill on whether to support the abortion option before 20 weeks into pregnancy is also in the article. Throughout the article it also talks about the arguments between the republicans and democrats.

this article talks about Clinton's recent appearances in the public eye. As you may know Clinton has announced that she will be running for president (once again) in the 2016 election. Earlier this week Clinton showed up at a local chipolte and it gave her publicity. She is trying to show her care for the people concerning recent events to get her those much needed votes.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/13/us/politics/hillary-clinton-2016-presidential-campaign.html

Hillary Clinton announces that she is running for president for a second time. She feels that she could meet the need of a "champion" that she feels all Americans need. She ran against President Obama many years ago, where he beat her by a long shot. This is very important because it may be the first time a woman catches a large party's nominations. She has many obstacles to face in this election because her husband, Bill Clinton, was president before. She really wants to improve on the problems of the middle class people. In February, a poll was taken and 81 percent of Democrats said they would vote for her. Therefore, Hillary Clinton is trying to think positive and stay a humble candidate.

This article talks about Hilary Clinton's run for president. She supports same-sex marriages saying that if she is elected as President, she will enact gay marriage as part of the Constitution. As a result, a lot of the gay and lesbian community support her run for president.
