AP Language and Composition
Students continued to practice rhetorical analysis in class today.

Homework:  Students need to finish analyzing V's speech from V for Vendetta and write a thesis statement that makes an assertion about the rhetorical strategies that V uses to accomplish his purpose in giving the speech.

Also, students need to read chapters 1-8 in Unbroken by Wednesday, September 24.

Pre-AP English 9
We continued discussing and identifying parts of speech in today's class, using the opening paragraphs from To Kill a Mockingbird to identify the different parts of speech.

Homework:  Students need to read chapters 11-21 in To Kill a Mockingbird by Thursday, September 11.

Bible as Literature
We finished reading through the Deluge account of Genesis 6-9 in class today.
